A Letter From A Single Man

Growing up as a male you often hear the phrase "a happy wife equals a happy life." The older one gets the more they find out that this phrase is straight B.S. Truth be told marriage is actually a form a slavery. Not to mention the fact that most millennials (like myself) have seen less patriarchal households throughout their lives.

The voices of men have always been scrutinized; but a black man's voice has become locked and sealed. It's as if a man's voice has been blurred out of every single topic regarding the black community. whenever a man wants to have a dialogue with another man they must have it in private. Out of all honesty this current condition is sickening.

During slavery, colonialism, and even Jim Crow black men have always been served the colder end of the stick. There's really no difference living in millennial age either. Movements such as Me Too and Times Up have been trying to use black men as the main target of their agenda's. For this reason stated above is the cause of the degradation of the dating scene.

Currently speaking I like where I'm at. Although I may not be where I need to be appreciation is all I have. Seven blogs, a written script, and a written novel next to my name you can see that writing is my passion. My ultimate goal is to start writing novels and shorts with characters in them. I honestly feel that most black men should stop seeking validation from the women in their neighborhood's. Once single black men do this everything will eventually fall in there place.

I write this not just as another blog page, but as a letter from a single man to other single men out there. Reading this I would like for the single men out there to set up their own initiatives and goals. For all you third-wave females out there; I come as a friend and not a foe. This is not to be read as a disrespect to the opposite sex whatsoever. All I have left to say is to all the neighborhoods, communities, cities, and states please take notice.
